9/11’s Impact on Women Around the World 20 Years Later



Featuring guest speaker Palwasha L. Kakar: The Interim Director for Religion and Inclusive Societies at the U.S. Institute of Peace (USIP). In recognition of the 20th Anniversary of 9/11, Palwasha will explore how women worldwide have experienced trauma, war, and conflict after this historical event, and she will examine how they have played a critical role in negotiation, constitutional reform, and transitional justice, resulting in peaceful settlements at the international, national, and local levels.
