On January 18, thousands of Americans rallied on Washington DC’s streets, just days before Donald Trump returns to the White House. The demonstrators were protesting several things, from women’s productive rights to climate change, and immigration policies – all contentious topics with the incoming Trump administration. Protestors said that they were marching against Trump, to voice their dismay at his victory, and to continue making their voices heard.
The protest is being called the ‘People’s March’ in a rebranding of its 2017 name, the ‘Women’s March’.
